1) General
- Access to and use of this website, as well as booking services (teleconsultations and home medical visits), are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
- If you do not agree with their content, you must stop using the website and services.
- Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, as well as legal action.
- Doctor On Call Lda. may contact the user by email, phone, or WhatsApp, strictly for the purpose of providing the contracted services, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
2) Our services
- We provide telemedicine consultations and home medical visits in Porto, carried out by healthcare professionals registered with the relevant Professional Orders in Portugal.
- Each consultation includes an individualized clinical assessment, medical advice, possible prescription, and referral to in-person or emergency care when clinically necessary.
- The website’s informational content is provided for educational and general purposes only and does not replace personalized medical evaluation.
- Emergency: in life-threatening or urgent situations, users must call 112 or go to the nearest emergency service. Teleconsultations are not intended for emergencies.
3) Website access and availability
- We aim to provide continuous access, but temporary interruptions may occur due to technical issues or force majeure.
- We reserve the right to modify functionalities, the format of services (e.g., change of video platform), or website content at any time, without prior notice, while safeguarding services already contracted.
4) Teleconsultations (online consultations)
- Teleconsultations are carried out exclusively through Google Meet. The access link is sent after booking, via email or WhatsApp.
- The user must provide true, complete, and updated clinical information.
- Medical prescriptions are issued as electronic prescriptions and sent by secure digital means.
- Consultations are individual (except when group sessions are expressly indicated).
4.1 Payment (teleconsultations)
- The website does not display payment methods. After booking, payment details are sent to the user either in response to the booking form or via WhatsApp.
- Payment must be made within the timeframe indicated by the doctor/administrator as a condition for confirming the consultation.
- If payment is not made within this timeframe, the appointment slot will be released and considered unconfirmed.
4.2 Cancellation/rescheduling (teleconsultations)
- By the doctor: if the doctor is unable to attend, the user will be informed (whenever possible) at least 1 hour in advance. The user may then choose to reschedule or request a refund.
- By the user: cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled consultation, or no-shows, result in the loss of the consultation fee.
- Refund policy: as these are services that begin immediately upon booking (administrative and clinical preparation), by purchasing the service the user waives the right of withdrawal. Refunds are only issued in the cases mentioned above.
5) Home medical visits (Porto)
- Home visits are carried out at the address provided by the user, within the coverage areas communicated at the time of booking.
- The user must ensure safe access conditions at the location and the presence of the patient.
5.1 Payment and fees (home visits – Porto)
- Daytime (09:00–21:00): €120
- Nighttime (21:00–09:00): €160
- Payment details are provided only after the service request, either by form response or via WhatsApp.
- Payment is due upon confirmation. Lack of payment may result in cancellation of the visit.
5.2 Cancellation/rescheduling (home visits – Porto)
- By the doctor: if the doctor is unable to attend, the user has the right to reschedule or receive a full refund.
- By the user: cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or absence at the location result in the loss of the consultation fee.
6) Prescriptions, follow-ups, and referrals
